As the error says it cannot find that DLL.

There are two files in each version folder of the zip download, and both are need for the tool to run. The exe needs to be able to find the dll, so extract both files to the same folder then run it.

The exe is the tester tool, the dll is the expression editor control which is made available so it can be used by others independently.

Same problem here.

Also, where should the dll be placed to allow BIDS Helper to utilize it?

I am very sorry about that, all my fault, insufficient testing when I packaged up the last release.

The new current release has been corrected - http://expressioneditor.codeplex.com/releases/view/47216

reb01501, BIDS Helper already uses an older version of the editor control. It is used when you click the Edit Expression button available on the Variables window toolbar. The latest version needs a few tweaks to be integrated into BIDS Helper, I've done some base code and passed it along, but it needs to be integrated into the project by the team, and fit into their release schedule.

That's fixed it - thanks for the quick response. This should prove very useful and save me some time in the future.
